At STS Group, we are a truck service & repair specialist company based in the Pilbara region.We are proudly 100% indigenous owned and operated, with unequalled capabilities.The OpportunityDue to the continued growth of the company, we have a great opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic, preferably with light truck and transport experience, to join the team in our Workshop located in the Industrial Estate in Karratha.Our busy Workshop has very experienced trades people that you would be working alongside, a great team culture, and an all-round great place to work.This role involves the service, repair, and maintenance of all fleet vehicles and equipment. You will be working on trucks such as prime movers, trailers, and small to medium trucks with an opportunity to gain experience working on Kenworth, Mack, Trailers, Fuso, Hino, Isuzu, and A/C systems.This is a Full Time Permanent role offered residential to Karratha.Your responsibilities will include:Assist crews to effectively meet daily safety, equipment reliability & maintenance compliance to plan targets for the projects.Disassemble, inspect, and assemble large-scale mobile mining equipment components in accordance with OEM maintenance system documentation & specifications.Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems.Maintain the workshop area to a high standard of housekeeping & organization.Work within a dedicated team to deliver a high level of workmanship.About you:Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.Minimum 5 years Heavy Diesel experience with exposure to leading or supervision of a team.Valid WA Driver's License.Sound experience in component rebuilds and machine overhauls.Must be well organized, methodical, and have an eye for detail.A demonstrated commitment to safety, safe work practices & risk awareness.What Specialised Truck Services can do for you:Permanent full-time positions.Even time, lifestyle rosters.STS' commitment to training & development.Your application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?Do you have a heavy vehicle driver's licence?Have you worked in a role which requires fault finding experience?How many years of people management experience do you have?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?How much notice are you required to give your current employer?
