Discover the Opportunity The Health and Safety Manager's primary objective is to support the implementation of work health and safety programs, injury management, and return-to-work processes at Opal's Botany Paper Mill (B9) and Recycling facility.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
Implementation and monitoring of the Opal HSMS at sites.Implementation of the Opal H&S strategy at the specified sites.Governance and Assurance (Regulatory compliance and internal reporting).Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory and system requirements.Support Worker's compensation and Health and Wellbeing processes.Support Health & Safety Training needs of the allocated business unit.We embrace diversity in all its forms, and we look for curious individuals who thrive in an environment of change.
Specifically for this role, we expect you will have:
Tertiary qualification in OH&S preferred.Strong regulatory knowledge specific to manufacturing environments.In-depth knowledge of health & safety management systems.Proven record of success within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Proven, positive experience in dealing with and managing regulators.Experience in successfully driving a culture of continuous improvement.Strong interpersonal relationship skills.For more information, please contact Ruth Messenger on ****** alternatively, jump right in by sending us your CV.
