Your Next Role
A unique opportunity is available for an HSE Business Partner to collaborate closely with our leadership team, driving the ongoing implementation and enhancement of Hyne's HSE Management System. In this role, you'll play a key part in fostering a "think safe, act safe" culture through mentoring and coaching across the site.
All our people go home in the same condition they came to work; safety before production. Develop and support the continuous improvement of Hyne's HSE Management System (HSEMS) to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and alignment with the company's strategic goals. Coach and mentor leaders and teams on HSE obligations, ensuring they have the tools, confidence, and ability to effectively manage HSE risks while fostering a safety-first culture. Manage site HSE event response and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate handling of significant hazards, injuries, and incidents to drive systematic improvements. Conduct formal investigations, inspections, and audits, working closely with site management to ensure that findings lead to effective controls and ongoing improvement. Establish and facilitate a systematic approach to risk assessments and risk management, focusing on asset and operational lifecycle management to ensure strong HSE governance and performance. You will be based at our plant in the Tuan Forest, nestled in the stunning Fraser Coast region. About you Bring relevant experience in workplace health, safety, and environment roles, with a strong understanding of risk management and the ability to effectively implement HSE systems. Possess auditing experience or qualifications, with the ability to conduct thorough audits and drive continuous improvement. Have hands-on experience in conducting HSE investigations, with formal qualifications in investigation processes being an advantage. Show specialist knowledge or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge related to WHS, particularly within the manufacturing industry. While formal qualifications in HSE or a related field are beneficial, candidates with strong relevant experience and a commitment to safety are encouraged to apply. Why Hyne Timber?
