This role involves clinical duties, health counselling, and collaboration with a dedicated team to support the overall wellbeing of our community. As a Health Centre Nurse, you will uphold the highest standards of nursing practice in line with MLC's policies, while promoting a safe and welcoming environment for all.Key Responsibilities:Primary Health Care: Deliver primary health care, health advice, and support for members of the MLC community. Offer referrals to other health professionals as required.Health Centre Operations: Maintain the Health Centre's facilities, equipment, and resources, ensuring readiness and adherence to legal and professional regulations.Medical Record Management: Maintain confidential and accurate health records for students and staff.Anaphylaxis Management: Ensure MLC complies with Ministerial Order 706 and manage individual health plans related to anaphylaxis, asthma, diabetes, and epilepsy.First Aid Compliance: Oversee the selection, requisition, and stocking of first aid supplies across campus, including maintaining defibrillators and EpiPens.Collaboration: Work closely with MLC staff, parents/guardians, and external health care providers to support students' health and wellbeing.Qualifications and Requirements:Division 1 Nursing Qualifications with current AHPRA registration.HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 – Provide CPR.Certifications in Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management.Knowledge of child and adolescent health and ability to practice in accordance with relevant legislation and standards.Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Commitment to adhering to all College policies, including the Child Safe Standards.Current Working with Children Check.For further information regarding this position, please reach out to ****** puts child safety at the forefront and is committed to providing a child-safe environment.
