**About the Company**:An established builder specialising in residential and commercial construction with multiple projects across Sydney.
They are currently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to be site based in Sydney.
**About the Role of the Health & Safety Advisor**: The Safety Advisor is an essential role that supports the construction team and the National Safety Manager ensuring that it meets all relevant statutory obligations regarding Occupational Health & Safety in the workplace.
**Duties Include**:
- Provide ongoing education/mentoring to staff on their WHSE responsibilities
- Facilitate consultation in workplace WHSE including, where required, setting up safety committees on site; daily pre-starts; internal/external toolbox meetings etc
- Take the lead role in investigation of injuries, incidents and near miss events, including recommending improvements at both site level and corporate improvements
- Review and updating of WHSE related procedures, templates and other documents as required.
**Requirements for the Health & Safety Manager**:
- Cert IV or Diploma in OHS
- Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in a similar construction environment
- The ability to confidently communicate with internal and external site staff and manage/coordinate accordingly
- Well organised and self-motivated and the ability to work in a fast paced construction site
