Head of Technology – Cloud & Service DeliveryOur Sydney-based IT Managed Service Provider is seeking a dynamic Head of Technology to lead a small, agile team across service delivery and operations. This role involves end-to-end management of our technical services, including overseeing cloud infrastructure, managing service delivery, and optimizing processes to ensure high-quality, customer-focused solutions.We are looking for a strategic, hands-on Manager to lead our technical service delivery team and oversee our private cloud infrastructure. This role involves complete ownership of technical operations, including team management, private cloud performance, and cost modeling for scalable "as-a-service" offerings. The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of technical expertise in cloud and storage solutions, a solid background in service delivery, and proven P&L management skills. This role is pivotal to delivering high-quality, profitable services and optimizing our technology roadmap to meet evolving market demands.Key Responsibilities:Service Delivery Management: Lead and manage the technical service team, ensuring service levels are met and escalations are efficiently resolved. Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture within the team.Private Cloud Ownership: Oversee and optimize the private cloud platform to meet availability, performance, and scalability objectives. Manage customer onboarding, capacity planning, and proactive resource management.Cost Modeling for "As-a-Service" Solutions: Develop and refine cost models to balance profitability with competitive pricing for "as-a-service" offerings. Work closely with sales and finance to align services with business goals.End-to-End Service Ownership: Drive continuous improvements across service delivery, focusing on service quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.Business Acumen & P&L Management: Use business insights to ensure service profitability and market relevance. Manage P&L for managed services, optimize budgets, and lead initiatives that support sustainable growth.Key Requirements:Proven experience in a Head of Technology, Service Delivery, or similar leadership role within IT or managed services.Strong technical expertise in cloud and storage solutions, with a deep understanding of private cloud management.Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and oversee day-to-day service delivery.Experience in creating service cost models and managing P&L or related financial responsibilities.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and financial insights effectively across functions.A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.Preferred Qualifications:Relevant industry certifications in ITSM, cloud, or technical fields (e.g., ITIL, AWS, Azure).Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 9001.Experience with automation tools and monitoring practices to enhance service efficiency.This role is ideal for a dynamic leader who excels at blending technical and commercial insights to drive high-quality, profitable service delivery.
