Blair State School is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Head of Special Education Services (HOSES) to join our dedicated team to improve outcomes for all students at our great school. This role is offered on a temporary full-time basis, for a period of 12 months, unless otherwise determined. The successful candidate will lead the inclusion team to deliver high-quality teaching and learning, assessment and reporting practices that are accessible to all students, and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers, and stakeholders.

About the RoleAs the Head of Special Education Services, you will have responsibility for the following:
Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the school Inclusion team.Lead and manage the Inclusion/Special Education Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.Provide high-quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers, and other school staff to develop, plan, and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.Provide, support, and/or coordinate case management for students including those who require extensive or substantial adjustments.Support classroom teachers and other school staff to access departmental or other external specialist services, professional development, and supports as needed.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
