About this role:The Head of Sales will be responsible for leading a high-performing sales organisation, including overseeing a team of Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to drive retention and customer engagement, and Business Development Managers (BDMs) to expand new business and collaborating with the leadership team to develop GTM strategy to achieve double-digit growth targets. This role will also involve managing and growing strategic partnerships, such as Departments of Education and resellers. We are seeking a sales leader with a strong track record in building high-performance teams, driving growth, and fostering long-term customer relationships.
Head of Sales Job Responsibilities:Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to drive double-digit growth across Australia and New Zealand.Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment of sales targets with overall business objectives.Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Customer Success Managers (CSMs) and Business Development Managers (BDMs) to foster a high-performance culture.Set clear KPIs for retention and new business development, ensuring the team exceeds expectations.Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on expanding the company's presence in the education technology market.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Ministries of Education, to unlock large-scale opportunities.Leverage your understanding of the education sector to exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth.Implement best practices to ensure the team delivers exceptional results, maximising profitability.Oversee customer engagement efforts, guiding the CSMs to improve customer retention and satisfaction.Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key clients, ensuring long-term customer success.Utilise data and market insights to make informed decisions, refining sales strategies and driving continuous improvement.Monitor performance metrics and adapt approaches to stay ahead of market trends.Apply your strong commercial acumen to identify profitable opportunities and manage resources effectively.Ensure financial targets are met, optimising revenue and budget management.Skills and experience required:Proven Leadership - experience in a Head of Sales role, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performance sales teams.Experience in the EdTech sector or a related industry, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the education market.Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to market changes and customer needs.Experienced coach and mentor - able to develop sales teams, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.Strong negotiating and relationship-building skills, particularly with governmental bodies such as Ministries of Education and associations.Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making and optimise sales performance.Commercial Focus: Solid understanding of financial management, including budget oversight and revenue growth strategies.Thrives in fast-paced environments and capable of managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.Additional information:We offer a competitive base salary of up to $132,000.00 depending on experience, plus OTE annually up to $88,000 in commission (paid monthly). This is a Hybrid based role out of our Darling Harbour Office at Level 1, Tower 1, 201 Sussex Street, Sydney, NSW 2000.
