We're partnering with a purpose-driven organisation in the health insurance sector to appoint aHead of Risk —a critical second-line leadership role reporting into the Chief Risk & Governance Officer.This role will lead the Enterprise Risk Management function, playing a key role in shaping the organisation's risk strategy, frameworks, and culture.
It's an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute leader with deep APRA and risk governance experience to drive change and make a real impact.Key Responsibilities: Lead the 2nd line Risk function and oversee the enterprise risk framework Provide strategic advice to senior leaders, the CEO and Board Enhance risk culture and alignment with the "Three Lines of Defence" model Maintain the enterprise risk register, internal assurance program, and corporate insurance portfolio Collaborate across the Risk & Governance Centre of Excellence Influence positive risk outcomes and regulatory engagement Manager over the team of 2-3 About You: 8+ years of risk management experience in financial services (APRA-regulated) Proven ability to lead a 2nd line function and uplift enterprise risk frameworks Strong working knowledge of CPS 220 and ideally CPS 230 Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience engaging with Boards and Executive Committees If you're a senior risk leader looking to step into a key leadership role where you'll have visibility, influence, and the opportunity to shape risk culture—get in touch for a confidential discussion.
