Due to recent acquisitions and growth, we are seeking an experienced and agile Head of Risk, Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) to join the team in Sydney on permanent basis.
This role is responsible for embedding and leading the risk management function across ANZ, ensuring alignment with global risk strategies while addressing local regulatory and operational requirements.

Reporting to the CRO, you will be part of and work closely with the senior leadership team and key stakeholders to drive a strong risk culture across the organisation.
You'll be responsible for implementation of Group Risk Management frameworks and risk-relevant local regulatory requirements You'll provide risk commentary and advice to the business as required You'll collaborate with national and international group internal stakeholders to align local risk strategies You'll lead risk committees and governance forums to ensure risk discussions are embedded in decision-making You'll provide regular risk assessments, oversee risk reporting (and analysis) and implement corrective actions You'll ensure effective response plans are in place for a range of potential disruptions You'll provide appropriate escalation and support to the Chief Risk Officer You'll engage and collaborate with a range of key stakeholders internally and externally And what are we looking for?
As the successful candidate, you will be passionate about delivering exceptional risk management to the business and our customers.
You'll have proven experience as a Head of Risk working in a complex and/or evolving environment You'll hold a Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Law, or a related field (ideally) You'll hold p rofessional certification in risk management (e.g., FRM, PRM, CERA) or compliance (e.g., ICA, CRCM) (ideally) You'll have demonstrated knowledge of Australian and New Zealand financial and insurance regulations (e.g., APRA, ASIC, RBNZ).
You'll have expertise in enterprise risk management (ERM) and operational risk You'll possess exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills You'll have strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging regulators and senior executives You'll bring a proactive mindset with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels So, why choose us?
