Due to continued growth, GO.FARM are seeking a Head of Research and Investments to lead the strategic direction, analysis, and execution of their agricultural investments.
The Head of Research and Investments will play a key role in developing unique insights and devising compelling investment strategies to enable informed investment decisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment Strategy & ExecutionDevise compelling investment strategies for agriculture assets.Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, sector-specific opportunities, and risk assessments to inform investment decisions.Lead portfolio management activities, including regular performance reviews and adjustments to optimise investment returns.Research & AnalysisLead the research team in developing unique insights into agricultural markets, emerging trends, and global economic factors.Provide detailed reports and presentations on investment opportunities, market conditions, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership, Investment Committee and the Board.Act as a thought leader by identifying innovative investment approaches and new market opportunities in the agriculture sector.Stakeholder Engagement & RepresentationAct as an ambassador for GO.FARM by representing the company at industry events, conferences, and forums.Effectively communicate GO.FARM's perspectives on investment opportunities, industry trends, and relevant topics to external audiences.Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, peers, and potential partners to promote GO.FARM's visibility and credibility within the agriculture investment sector.Continuous ImprovementPromote a culture of continuous improvement within the team, advocating for advancements in research methodologies, tools, and processes.Stay informed on industry best practices and technological developments to enhance the team's capabilities and streamline investment processes.Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing investments and research team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.Establish and maintain effective communication lines between the Investments, Finance, and Operations teams, promoting cross-functional alignment.Encourage professional development within the team by providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and opportunities for growth.Technical Skills & QualificationsCommerce, Finance or Agriculture degree qualified;Ideally 10+ years of experience in investment management, with a focus on agriculture or real assets.Demonstrated success in developing and executing investment strategies in a senior role.Experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks related to investments.Strong track record in portfolio management, research, and financial analysis.If you are interested in learning more about this exciting and unique position, please contact Matt McGilton on 0439 028 222 / ****** at Kaizen Recruitment or apply via the attached link.
