Database Development & Administration (Information & Communication Technology)An exciting opportunity to join an Australian not-for-profit business which supports employers, apprentices, trainees, job seekers, and students.Your strategic responsibilities will include:Democratisation of dataDriving company's data cultureForward looking strategy and roadmap for data capabilitiesCompliance with required data security and privacyEstablishment of predictive, ML/AI capabilitiesApplication integration, API gateway, data interchangeYou will provide leadership and guidance to:Develop and manage commercially sound data service, and related governanceYou will promote Data operations and services by:Advocating the data solutions informing the IT Strategy, Cloud Strategy and Design PrinciplesDesigning new data solutions and ensuring their successful implementationPerforming reviews, participating in M&A due diligence activitiesSupporting the assessment of initiatives and ensuring compliance across programs and projects within your scope of responsibilityYou will deliver excellence in IT data operation and service:Manage and ensure the delivery of quality data solutions and capabilitiesDevelop data strategy, governance, architecture and roadmapProcess ownership:Establish the needs of users, monitor user access, privacy and security to dataControl access permissions and privilegesDefine data dictionaries and monitor consistency across the platformRelease management:Ensuring the timely and effective implementation of new versions and or releases in conjunction with suppliers.Draw up a testing schedule for the complete systemDocumenting, testing (including arranging user acceptance testing) and installing customisations into the production systems.Integration and data architecture:Identifying options for solutions and assessing them for technical and business suitabilityContributing to the planning and design of information systemsAssisting with or leading systems analyses, costing and bidding activitiesCompleting requirements analysis to ascertain the needs of the end user or customerMandatory Qualifications and Experience - not limited to:10+ years of experience in IT/Data Services, including senior roles overseeing the development of enterprise-wide data platforms, data strategies, governance, processesRelevant technology or business degreeDemonstrated knowledge of various IT domains, frameworks, standards, and trendsDemonstrated competencies such as information strategy, technical strategy and planning, business change management, relationship management, human factors, skills managementDemonstrated ability and experience in building and managing IT Data Service operation in similar sized organisationsEvidence of mature leadership (technology, organisation, strategy, architecture, change and transformation)Experience in constructing and designing data solutions, including the use of emerging technologies to support the delivery of business outcomesRobust knowledge of compliance, controls to support ISO27001 and RFFR requirementsAdvanced knowledge of web-based interfaces and XMLDemonstrated thorough understanding of data diagrams and data structuresDemonstrated thorough understanding of database modellingDemonstrated thorough understanding of multi-dimensional data modellingDemonstrated thorough understanding of database programming
