What we're looking for:

As a part of the People and Culture team heading up a team of ten specialists, you'll be responsible for overseeing the provision of IR/ER support and guidance across the Affinity Education Group (AEG).

The role:You can prioritise and have exceptional organisational skills to:

Develop Affinity's Industrial Relations strategy as a part of the overall HRM strategy.

Ensure Legislative and Award compliance to relevant award conditions and overall industrial compliance.

Work with the operations function to set the strategic workforce management structure and costings.

Oversee incident investigations to ensure appropriate performance management is actioned.

Oversee performance management support for both Operations and Centre Support Office.

Provide IR due diligence support for mergers, acquisitions, and greenfield sites.

Oversee Workers' Compensation and return to work for non-work-related injuries programmes.

Provide IR support to manage the HR impacts of divestments, restructures and redundancies.

Oversee the provision of HR/ER advice across the full employee lifecycle including employee relations and performance management, award interpretation, and workers' compensation matters.

Design and delivery of workplace relations frameworks, policies, processes, reporting and education.

Advise and present to executive team and key stakeholders, as required.

Lead and promote strategies to drive high performing centres, ensuring alignment with Affinity's values and core behaviours.

About you:Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Bachelor of Law or relevant qualification in a related field or equivalent level of education.

Significant senior management experience in employee relations / industrial relations in a large organisation.

Specialist knowledge in employee and industrial relations, with the capability to apply this knowledge with a pragmatic, collaborative, and commercial focus.

Extensive understanding of the Fair Work Australia requirements and industrial instruments, including a deep knowledge of current Australian workplace relations.

Current knowledge in employment and industrial relations changes or developments in relevant legislation, regulations and standards.

Experience in partnering with and influencing all business levels including center employees and management.

Experience interpreting and applying relevant Awards, Legislations, and National Employment Standards.

High level of interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation, writing and communication skills.

Ability to promote a positive team culture and resolve conflicts effectively.
