The Role This role reports directly to the business owner and is key to driving the company's financial strategy, stability, and growth.
It combines hands-on financial management with strategic oversight to support business expansion and change.
Key Responsibilities: Design and lead financial strategies to drive profitability, scalability, and long-term business sustainability.
Successfully and solely lead the finance function Oversee cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning to support growth targets.
Provide high-level financial analysis and insights to the owner for strategic decision-making.
Define and monitor financial KPIs to track performance and guide business direction.
Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, providing detailed analysis of financial performance and variance reports.
Work closely with other department heads to provide financial insights and support for operational decisions and strategic initiatives.
Identify and mitigate financial risks, including overseeing insurance coverage, credit risks, and financial liability exposure.
The Candidate Proven experience in a senior finance role within an eCommerce setting.
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (CPA/CA highly regarded).
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving financial improvements and resolving operational challenges.
Experience leading and mentoring a team, with the ability to drive team performance and development.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring the integrity of financial reports and records.
Proficiency with financial management software (e.g., Xero) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
