They are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Engineering to lead their engineering function and drive transformative initiatives.
This full-time, Melbourne-based role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the technical direction of the company while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Position Overview
As the Head of Engineering, you will lead a talented team of engineers, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering high-impact solutions.
You will optimise team structure, enhance delivery processes, and promote technical excellence while spearheading innovation to maintain the company's competitive edge.
This role demands a strong leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Align the engineering function with organisational goals, translating business priorities into actionable technical roadmaps.Team Optimisation: Evaluate team structures, skill sets, and resources to ensure scalability and agility.Process Improvement: Redesign workflows and delivery frameworks to enhance efficiency, accelerate timelines, and ensure consistent high-quality outputs.Technical Excellence: Drive initiatives to improve code quality, reliability, and maintainability through best practices and cutting-edge tools.Innovation Leadership: Foster a culture of creativity and innovation, encouraging the team to deliver solutions that exceed expectations.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leaders, ensuring technical strategies align with business objectives.Key Requirement Over 10 years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles such as Head of Engineering or Engineering Director.Proven expertise in managing diverse, cross-functional teams and delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.Industry experience in technology, IoT, or similar sectors is advantageous but not essential.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.How to Apply
