'With education, women can do, or be, anything.' (Miss Betty Archdale, 6th Headmistress 1958 – 1970) The Role The Head of Drama will be a member of the Leaders of Learning Team at Abbotsleigh and influence the strategic direction of Learning and Teaching.
As a leader within the School, responsible to the Deputy Headmistress/Head of Senior School, the successful candidate will have fine leadership skills, the ability to lead and work collaboratively with and within teams and be an excellent role model who demonstrates high standards in their professional knowledge and management of staff and students.
The Duties The Head of Drama at Abbotsleigh will be an experienced professional of the highest calibre.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic leader of learning who supports the Headmistress in maintaining and developing learning and innovation across the School.
They will demonstrate knowledge, competence and confidence in Stage 4 – 6 Drama and a proven track record of success with Stage 6 Drama.
About our Team The Head of Drama will work collaboratively within the School, undertaking responsibilities within the team, as required by the Deputy Headmistress/Head of Senior School and the Director of Co-Curricular Programs.
They will provide management and leadership to the Drama Team as well as foster a productive and welcoming work environment and support the Team in their professional development.
