08th November, 2024 We're seeking an experienced Head of Data to drive our data engineering team.
This role is essential to building a robust data infrastructure and ensuring our data supports business objectives across the organization.
Role Overview:
As Head of Data, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic data roadmap, overseeing the design of our data team, and leveraging AWS Redshift to enhance data processing capabilities.
You'll lead a dedicated team of data engineers, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative environment.
Working with various teams, you'll ensure our data systems are optimized and aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Roadmap & Strategy : Define a clear data strategy aligned with business goals, driving initiatives to enhance data capabilities.
Data Architecture & AWS Redshift : Lead the design and implementation of scalable data infrastructure, focusing on AWS Redshift to support efficient data storage and processing.
Team Leadership & Development : Manage and mentor a small team of data engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Data Governance & Security : Establish and enforce data governance standards, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with regulations.
Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner with Engineering, Product, and other departments to understand data needs and ensure infrastructure meets business requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in data engineering and data strategy.
Deep expertise in AWS Redshift, data warehousing, and scalable architecture design.
ETL Design
Proven track record of developing data roadmaps and implementing technical solutions.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a small team of data engineers.
Proficiency in data management tools (e.g., SQL, Azure, AWS) and database technologies.
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
