Our Client Ume Loans is seeking an experienced Head of Collections to lead their team and maintain a healthy loan book.
This pivotal role is crucial in overseeing the full lifecycle of collections from early stage-delinquency through to recoveries and debt sales for both our secured and unsecured products whilst fostering a supportive environment to lead and mentor a growing collections team.
You'll make a significant impact on operations and client satisfaction while promoting responsible lending and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Collections Officers, providing ongoing feedback and coaching to help them develop their skills and achieve personal growth.Operational Oversight: Ensure that the team follows documented processes to assist customers with their repayments while adhering to legal and privacy standards.Performance Reporting: Produce regular reports for management and stakeholders, including the board of directors, to communicate team performance and relevant metrics.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to improve compliance and communication methods with clients and stakeholders.Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to their processes across all States and Territories, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements.Client Interaction: Oversee communications with clients who have missed repayments, facilitating catch-up arrangements and assisting with financial hardship processes.What You Bring: Experience: Proven experience in collections management or a similar leadership role within financial services.Leadership Skills: Strong ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team, fostering a positive and engaged work environment.Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in analysing data and trends to inform decision-making and process improvements.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.Compliance Knowledge: A solid understanding of relevant legal and compliance frameworks across different states and territories (NCCP, ASIC, AML/KYC).If you're ready to lead a successful team apply today.
