Head of Campus Port Augusta School of the AirOpen Access College plays an important and critical role in addressing educational disadvantage for South Australian students who are not able to attend school in person or are unable to access aspects of the full curriculum at their local school. The College is a leader in distance education and operates from campuses located in Adelaide and Port Augusta, catering for Reception to Year 12 students with dynamic and innovative teaching and learning programs.This is a TEMPORARY POSITION (12-month contract) starting 23/01/2025 until 21/01/2026 at Open Access College, Port Augusta Campus.Please note that part-time and flexible arrangements will be considered.The Campus Head will be responsible for:Providing innovative leadership as part of the Executive Leadership team.Leading and managing the day-to-day operations and resources at the SOTA campus, including enrolment.Leading the development of productive partnerships with the SOTA community and stakeholders.Collaborating with other college Aps to implement NAPLAN, PAT and to support staff with the writing of One Plans.Developing and implementing a supervisor (parent) support program and strengthening learning partnerships with parents.Providing leadership of quality accountability and improvement processes through the collection and analysis of a range of (achievement, attendance and behaviour) data to ensure a culture of continuous improvement in line with the Site Improvement Plan.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their:Leadership in school improvement, including teaching and student learning.Effective personnel management, leadership and organisational skills relevant to the position.Knowledge and understanding of research-informed pedagogies, school leadership, current education policies and curricular developments.Knowledge and commitment to promoting and creating a safe and inclusive work environment; and the legislative requirements of Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety legislation.Experience in leading the development of a professional learning culture that is collaborative and uses evidence to inform improvement.Experience in developing partnerships and sharing responsibilities for learning and culture with students, families, staff and schools.Special Conditions:The applicant must:Have recognised teaching qualifications and registration as a teacher in South Australia.Comply with Department of Human Services (DHS) and working with children checks (WWCC).Have an active online application in the Employable Teacher Register (ETR).Have a cleared Department for Education pre-employment declaration.Complete Reporting Abuse and Neglect Education and Care current training.Hold an approved first aid certificate.This position is located at Open Access College, SOTA Campus (Port Augusta).
