The opportunity As the Head of Business Development for Australia, you will be responsible for developing new business and expanding existing accounts within Infravision's Transmission and Distribution utility, and principal contractor key accounts in order to achieve the country's revenue targets. This will involve selling our equipment and services as both an enterprise-wide solution and directly to projects. You will be tasked with navigating complex utility and contractor sales cycles.
This role demands strategic thinking and hands-on experience in business development, with a proven track record in the construction, engineering, or utilities sectors. You will be a key player in aligning Infravision's unique vision for accelerating the transition to a zero-carbon grid by cultivating relationships and facilitating a pipeline of projects that grow the impact of our products and services in line with that goal.

Why work for Infravision Join a mission-driven organization and make a meaningful impact on climate change and decarbonizing the global electric grid.Competitive salary and benefits.Equity Ownership: Our employees are able to participate in the Company's employee share option plan and share in the benefits of growing a successful technology company.Collaborative and energizing environment: We have an enjoyable, dynamic, and collaborative work environment.What you'll do Develop new business and expand existing accounts within Infravision's Transmission and Distribution utility, and principal contractor key accounts in order to achieve the country's revenue targets.Build and manage strong relationships with utilities, EPC/Contractors, and other key industry stakeholders.Generate leads, submit proposals, and win contracts for Infravision's offerings (TX System Lease and Project Delivery Services).Lead and coordinate with internal teams, including project engineers and construction managers, ensuring Infravision's services are tailored to customer/project needs.Develop sales strategies and demand generation approaches for existing and new markets/products.Lead contract negotiations, ensuring customer satisfaction while balancing the needs of the business.Directly contribute to refining and optimizing business development processes to maintain Infravision's leadership in this space.What we are looking for Required Qualifications and Experience Proven experience in direct field sales or revenue-generating roles, ideally within the utilities or powerline construction sectors.Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and contract negotiations.Demonstrated experience in consultative or complex service solutions.Deep understanding of enterprise and project-based sales strategies, able to sell into both greenfield and mature territories.Able to grasp technical aspects of the sale such as project proposal development including the technical estimation (supported by project engineer and construction manager).Successful track record of achieving or exceeding enterprise sales/business development quotas.Ability to lead and grow a team as business scales.Work closely with the Australian General Manager and marketing teams to align business development strategies and ensure market penetration.Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally for business purposes.Highly Desirable Competencies Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to navigate "first of its kind" challenges, particularly in areas such as government-owned corporations, utility negotiations, and complex major project delivery.Customer Obsession & Stakeholder Management: A focus on building and maintaining strong customer relationships. Ability to manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring alignment between client needs and Infravision's offerings.Adaptability & Perseverance: Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment and adapt strategies as industry dynamics evolve, particularly in response to complementary or competitive technological innovations.Process Orientation with Strategic Insight: Proven ability to optimize business development processes while also thinking strategically to anticipate future challenges and opportunities in the Australian market.Cost/Margin Modelling: A relatively mature understanding of excel/google sheets to develop high-level analysis on cost/margin inputs to bids.Next Steps Click on the Apply button to start your journey and join the Infravision team today.
