About the role (Immediate Start required)We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team at the Pavilion at Kalkallo, a newly opened restaurant and event venue located in the vibrant suburb of Kalkallo, Victoria. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, leading a team of passionate chefs, and delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. This is a full-time permanent position, with immediate start available.What you'll be doingManage all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, and staff supervision.Lead and mentor a team of skilled chefs, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.Develop and implement creative, seasonal menus that showcase your culinary expertise and cater to the diverse tastes of our customers.Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as manage inventory and ordering processes.Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver seamless dining experiences for our customers.Contribute to the overall success and growth of the Pavilion at Kalkallo by providing strategic input and innovative ideas.What we're looking forMinimum of 2 years' experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role, preferably within the hospitality industry.Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing kitchen teams.Exceptional culinary skills, with the ability to create innovative, flavoursome dishes that showcase seasonal produce.Willing to work with the Owner.Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proven experience in managing kitchen operations and budgets.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the front-of-house team.Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
