The Role:
THE MONDAY GROUP has been exclusively retained by a leading national Facilities & Asset Management company.
Our client holds a significant, longstanding, and high-profile government contract.
We are searching for an exceptional Head Chef experienced in large-scale, contract catering to lead the site's catering and culinary operations into their next phase of growth.
As Head Chef, you will lead, manage, coach, and mentor a large team of 55 dedicated BOH staff members.
We seek someone who has experience operating and managing teams on a significant scale.
This role is predominantly Monday to Friday, with 8 to 10 high-profile weekend functions throughout the year.
You will oversee and elevate food consistency and safety across 6 kitchens and 8 dining rooms.
Responsibilities: Oversee meal service preparation and delivery, including routine meals, in-flight rations, and special functions.Train kitchen staff on food preparation methods and presentation standards, including religious meal services.Manage the Food Safety Program, including hazard identification and HACCP controls.Operate large-volume cooking equipment and manage stock, ordering, and inventory control.Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and food safety standards.Address client feedback promptly and effectively.Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager and other key stakeholders to meet performance objectives.The Candidate: Australian-recognised Commercial Cooking qualification and Food Safety Supervisor certification.Minimum of 5 years' experience managing multi-site, large commercial kitchens.Excellent knowledge of Food Safety Standards and relevant legislation.Strong planning, organisational, and interpersonal skills.Excellent communication skills.Salary & Benefits: Up to $140,000 package (negotiable for the right candidate)Relocation assistance can be providedOutstanding career opportunities with a leading national company #J-18808-Ljbffr
