About the role
Mt Arthur Mine Site have a number of newly created permanent Haulage Technician opportunities to support the Production Team’s drive for continuous improvement. This is an onsite role coordinating and liaising with Production Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisors, Operators and Mine Control to ensure efficient truck utilisation and production outcomes, working a 5 / 4 day and night roster.
Our successful candidates will be involved in analysing data and problem solving to identify opportunities to improve truck performance. Responding to disruptions to the truck fleet to manage and minimise truck production down time. These opportunities will appeal to those with aspirations of career progression.

BHP's Mt Arthur Coal is the largest individual coal production site in the beautiful NSW Hunter Valley region. Located less than 5 kilometres from Muswellbrook, we produce high quality, clean energy coal for international and domestic customers. About You
We are seeking diverse and talented individuals who have solid knowledge and understanding of Mine Site Operations process and procedures. Experience using modular or MineStar or previous experience as a Production or Dispatch Operator is desirable but not essential together with the following:

Effective communication with a range of stakeholders

Attention to detail and being able to analyse data problem solving skills

Understand mining operations process and procedures

A drive for continuous improvement and to learn

Experience using modular or MineStar or as a dispatch operator desirable but not essential

Production operator background is favourable

Experience with a Fleet Management System preferred in a large scale mining environment

Ability to make decisions under pressure using your skills in prioritisation and problem solving

Strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task

Ability to work autonomously whilst also working collaboratively with your team to achieve desired outcomes

Highly motivated with the ability to utilise your negotiation skills in order to influence others and achieve desired outcomes

Exhibit strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems.
