Group Accountant

Details of the offer

We're currently seeking a Group Accountant who's naturally curious and used to digging into the numbers to tell the story behind them, not just reporting on them.
Key Responsibilities:
Consolidation of Group Monthly Financial Statements including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting on a consolidated level and individual reporting entity basis, on both an actual and forecasted basis. Monitor and analyse financial data, identifying trends and variances with emphasis on capital expenditure and operating expense review. Working closely with external departments to provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making at the senior and executive level. Facilitate inter-company transactions and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting across all inter-entity transactions. Manage and oversee the monthly close for all business entities within the Group, including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and in-depth variance analysis on expense lines. Maintaining the internal control system and ensuring adherence to finance processes by other departments. Managing external audit and tax return processes for all Group Entities with a focus on ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax return deadlines across the Group. Identifying efficiency improvements and cost reduction opportunities. Working closely with the CFO to deliver reports and analysis. What we're looking for:
2-3 years experience in a similar role. CA or CPA qualified. Strong technical accounting and commercial skills. Board and management reporting experience. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with analysing large volumes of data, understanding the reasons for margin or expense variances. Advanced Excel experience. Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A retail or manufacturing background would be an advantage. Microsoft Dynamics AX experience would be an advantage.
A Working with Children Check and undergoing a Police Check are conditions of employment.
Applicants will be required to provide evidence of full COVID vaccination prior to commencing employment.
