Croydon Special Developmental School – Croydon South VICCroydon Special Developmental School is seeking a motivated and skilled Grounds and Maintenance Officer to join their team.
This full-time role is based in Croydon South, VIC 3136 and will be responsible for maintaining the school's grounds and facilities to a high standard.What you'll be doingCarrying out general grounds maintenance tasks such as weeding, pruning and rubbish removalEnsuring the school's facilities, including buildings, fixtures and fittings, are well-maintained and in good repairPerforming minor maintenance and handyperson duties, such as painting and carpentryCompleting regular safety checks and addressing any hazards or issues identifiedAssisting with the set up and pack down of school events and activitiesLiaising with contractors and suppliers as neededMaintaining accurate records and documentation related to maintenance activitiesWhat we're looking forExperience in a similar grounds maintenance or handyperson role, preferably in an educational or institutional settingStrong practical skills and the ability to carry out a range of maintenance and repair tasksGood time management and the ability to work independently to prioritise and complete tasksExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentationA positive, community-focused attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a teamA current driver's licence and access to reliable transportationRelevant trade qualifications or certifications are highly desirableWhat we offerCroydon Special Developmental School is a supportive and inclusive workplace that values its employees.
