Your New Role As the Global Payroll Manager, you are accountable for the payroll function across Australian, UK and US and delivering a seamless experience to our colleagues.
Australian Super has recently embarked on transitioning to a single global payroll provider, ADP, and this role will play a crucial part in managing the migration to the new platform.
You will partner with key internal and external stakeholders ensuring the performance of the third-party payroll provider is accurate, timely and compliant with global payroll related regulatory and legislative requirements.
Managing international, state, and federal tax obligations, you will offer guidance and provide critical data and information to support executive decision making.
Key duties include but are not limited to: As a member of the Financial Operations Leadership team, contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and business initiatives.
Deliver and oversee large payroll changes including Enterprise Agreement changes, business realignments, bonus payments, Superannuation Guarantee etc.
Prepare timely, comprehensive, and insightful reports for key stakeholders and governance forums across the Fund.
Bring a Global mindset to the role and foster a continuous improvement approach, challenging assumptions, identifying trends, and recommending solutions for payroll.
Lead and develop a team of highly capable payroll people who will drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined with clear accountability for outcomes and establish high standards for performance and equip staff to adapt and respond to the challenges of our changing environment.
What You'll Need Demonstrated experience in leading a Global Payroll function for a growing organisation with international presence.
Experience in managing external payroll vendors in different global locations (preferably ADP).
Demonstrated experience in driving and implementing change in a growth environment.
Deep understanding of payroll requirements and regulatory/legal filing obligations.
Analytical & financial management skills, including the ability to identify when data and analysis is materially incorrect, and implement solutions.
Competence and experience in the use and maintenance of large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (preferably Oracle).
Strong employee data governance and working with Human Resources Information Systems (HCM Oracle).
Understanding of payroll engines to test and validate third party vendor updates.
Strong leadership and people management skills with a passion for coaching and mentoring.
Capacity to work under pressure, set priorities, coordinate tasks with a high level of accuracy and detail.
