MRM's Perks and Benefits: Generous Superannuation: Enjoy 13% superannuation to secure your futureWork-Life Balance: 15:13 rosterCareer Growth: Access to excellent career development opportunitiesFinancial Flexibility: Salary sacrificing benefits for vehicles and other servicesExclusive Discounts: Discounts with health insurance providers and Glencore Rewards for online and in-store savingsKey Responsibilities: Provide assistance to the Geotechnical Engineer and Senior/Lead Geotechnical Engineer in the assessment and management of geotechnical and void related hazards complying with the Ground Control and Void Control Management Plans to facilitate safe and economical resource extraction.Maintain geotechnical monitoring devices and interpret monitoring data for slope assessment and compliance documentation purposes.Identify geotechnical hazards and recommend remedial measures or safety controls in accordance with industry best practices with support from the Geotechnical Engineer.Assist with the development of geotechnical requirements for mine plans considering both short and long-term.Comply with MRM safety practices, procedures, and risk management processes.Identify continuous improvement opportunities.Contribute to geotechnical projects.Perform all other tasks/duties as directed by the Senior/Lead Geotechnical Engineer.Requirements for Successful Applicant: Advanced Diploma of Metalliferous Mining or higher qualification from a recognised institution.Demonstrated knowledge in open pit metalliferous mines is highly desirable.Demonstrated experience with Vulcan and Roscience mine design systems is highly desirable.Experience with Microsoft Suite.Ability to work autonomously with a solutions-focused approach.Ability to complete tasks within set deadlines.Ability to write and communicate effectively.High level of attention to detail.At MRM, we are 'Territory first' and will prioritise applications from Territorians or those ready to relocate.
