It is not just a job, it is an interesting opportunity where you will be challenged and inspired, achieve your goals, and enjoy your work along the way.For more information on TSA and our projects visit https://www.transhipmentservices.com.au/We are currently recruiting for deckhands to join our team at the Bauxite Hills project, Skardon River, North Queensland.This is a FIFO position on a 2:2 roster for someone that lives in Queensland.About the Role:Ensuring the good order of the vessel and safely carrying out duties assigned by the Master or Mate, the role and responsibilities of the General Purpose Hand (GPH) include but are not limited to:Line handling operations including line splicing, care, and maintenance (8-strand, 12-strand, Dyneema)Vessel rust/corrosion treatment including chipping, grinding, and paintingOperating and maintaining winches and other deck machineryMaintaining safety KPI compliance of the vessel including take 5's, toolboxes, vessel inspections, and hazard reporting in accordance with company requirementsTo be successful in this role, you will have:Certificate of Safety Training (COST)Previous marine experienceExperience operating winchesWorking at heightsDogging and rigging qualifications and experienceDozer and/or loader operating qualifications and experienceCurrent AMSA MedicalMaster
