As the General Manager (GM) of Pro Dive Cairns, you will lead a passionate team, ensuring the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you'll be instrumental in achieving the company's strategic goals and fostering a culture of success and innovation.Reporting to Quicksilver Group's Managing Director, your key responsibilities will include:Ensuring the financial sustainability of Pro Dive Cairns through effective management and financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, effective rostering practices, and financial reporting.Leading a diverse workforce by developing, planning, and providing training, coaching, and guidance, and operating an efficient personnel system in consultation with the Group Human Resources Manager.Ensuring safety manuals, policies, and procedures are up to date in accordance with relevant legislation and communicated across the team.Maintaining compliance of facilities and vessels in accordance with relevant legislation.Your experience will include:Demonstrated leadership skills with strong decision-making capabilities.An ability to develop and implement long-term business strategies.Understanding budgeting, financial planning, and cost management with a focus on profitability and sustainable growth.Strong working knowledge of work health and safety and PADI requirements as they relate to diving and associated in-water activities.Sound knowledge of vessel operation and maintenance.Able to work flexible hours as dictated by business requirements.About Pro Dive CairnsPro Dive Cairns is The Great Barrier Reef and Australia's premier scuba diving school and outer reef liveaboard dive operator.
