With a commitment to innovation, efficiency, and safety in the construction industry, we are expanding and looking for a General Manager to oversee multiple projects, drive strategic growth, and develop key industry partnerships.The Role:Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the General Manager will manage 5-7 high-value formwork projects, ranging from $500k to $15m. You will be responsible for driving operational success, ensuring projects are completed on time, and enhancing profitability. A key part of this role involves reading and interpreting construction plans, foreseeing areas for operational efficiency, and implementing strategies to increase productivity and buildability.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage multiple formwork projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.Accurately read and interpret construction plans, identifying opportunities to improve buildability and enhance project outcomes.Price and assess works, with a strong focus on increasing profitability and managing costs efficiently.Foresee and implement operational efficiencies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and streamline workflows across project sites.Manage the logistics team to ensure seamless coordination of materials, labor, and equipment across multiple project sites.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, attending strategic meetings to secure and develop new business opportunities.Collaborate with the financial team on budgeting, forecasting, and profit-and-loss reporting.Lead, mentor, and develop project teams, fostering a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.Provide regular updates and insights to the Managing Director on project performance, business growth, and key decisions.What We're Looking For:Proven experience managing large-scale formwork or construction projects, ideally in a subcontractor or related environment.Strong background in pricing, logistics, and operational management.Ability to read and interpret construction plans and identify areas for efficiency and buildability improvements.Track record of implementing operational strategies that enhance productivity and reduce costs.Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring profitability and operational excellence.Strong leadership skills with experience in team development and motivation.Business development expertise, with a proven ability to establish and grow key industry relationships.Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities in high-value projects.Experience reporting directly to senior leadership or a Managing Director.What We Offer:Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.Opportunity to lead high-value projects ranging between $500k and $15m.A key leadership role with direct access to the Managing Director and influence over strategic decisions.The chance to work on large, exciting projects across SE Queensland.A supportive environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Are You Ready to Lead?If you're ready to make a significant impact in a leadership role and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you!
