The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has become available for a well-rounded General Manager to join our Corinthian Doors manufacturing operation based at St Marys. Reporting directly to the VP of the Doors Group, the General Manager role will be instrumental in progressing sales and operational excellence, through empowering associate’s, optimising available resources, driving accountability, making informed decisions, focusing on value creation and going beyond the expected to deliver the results.
The ideal candidate will be a down to earth individual, who has a continuous improvement mentality and a clear understanding that team engagement is fundamental to delivering and exceeding customer expectations as well as achieving the financial objectives of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Drive a culture of safety and support our Vision Zero objectives
Provide mentorship, leadership and development opportunities to the team.
With support from the Operations Manager, co-ordinate daily operations to ensure the most efficient and streamline processes are in place.
Accountability of the P&L including forecasting, budget setting, cost control and the overall financial performance of the business.
With support from the Sales Manager, expand the customer value proposition to deliver customer service excellence and seek out further commercial opportunities within the NSW region.
Further, develop and lead the strategic business plan
About You
A well-rounded, down to earth individual with 10+ years of experience aligned with the key responsibilities outlined above
Experience in manufacturing environments with P&L responsibility
A degree in a business-related discipline (desirable)
Exceptional sales, business development and relationship building skills
Strong Operational background with a LEAN/Six Sigma understanding
WHS exposure with a focus on Zero Harm always and at all costs
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build instant rapport
Mentor, leadership and development qualities
