About the Role... Our client, one of the region's leading construction contractors, is looking for a number of General Builders to come on board and join them on a continued working basis.
The job will initially start in Kingswear, with continued work being on neighbouring sites around the area, so the ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously is an absolute MUST.
Responsibilities Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to carry out construction tasks. Engage in painting and finishing work to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed structures. Conduct masonry work, including laying bricks, blocks, or stones as necessary. Work on roofing projects, including installation and repair of various roofing materials. Collaborate with other tradespeople to construct frameworks, walls, and other structural elements. Maintain a safe work environment by following site instruction, in line with health and safety regulations. About You... 2 years PROVEN experience in construction is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools is required. Experience in additional fields like painting, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, roofing, or carpentry is highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings is a must. Excellent communication skills to work safely and effectively within a team environment. A clean, full driving licence is essential to travel across neighbouring sites. Valid CSCS is ESSENTIAL. ANY SUCCESSFUL INDIVIDUAL MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE 2 CONTACTABLE REFERENCES PRIOR TO AN AGREEMENT BEING MADE.
