Position SummaryThis position is based in the Sunshine Coast region and surrounding areas. Due to our client's strong growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimator. You are required to possess a high level of skill in relation to assessment of damage, repair methodology, comprehensive report writing, and customer service skills. The successful candidate will be working closely with our client's customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure a positive and high-quality repair on every job.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:Attend properties and liaise with property owners to assess damages and accurately scope and quote the repairs required.Prepare detailed scope of works and quotations for insurance repairs.Compile detailed building assessment reports determining cause of damage and identifying property maintenance issues, defects, and/or building non-compliance.Assess all aspects of repair requirements such as materials, labour, subcontractor costs, and overhead expenses.Liaise with Supervisors, suppliers, and trades to obtain competitive pricing.Prepare comprehensive submissions incorporating accurate cost breakdowns and supporting documentation to secure projects.Consistently achieve set KPIs.Ensure estimated work is completed in line with legislative and WHS&E requirements.Maintain comprehensive records on a computer-based work system - Prime Ecosystem and various insurance platforms.About YouA dynamic and outgoing personality that is results-driven and focused on our core values.Extensive building and carpentry knowledge, especially around trade and building material costs and repair timeframes.Previous experience as an Insurance Estimator, Site Supervisor, or other similar roles (preferred).Previous experience working with Prime Ecosystem or similar job management software is advantageous.Exceptional organisational and time management skills.Positive and confident attitude with high focus on customer service.A working knowledge of the NCC, QBCC Standards and Tolerances, and WH&S.High-level computer skills across mobile devices, repair management systems, and Microsoft Office suite of programs.RequirementsBuilding trade qualification, Cert IV in Building & Construction or willing to complete.White Card.Driver's License.Working at Heights - highly desirable.BenefitsCompetitive remuneration package including attractive salary + fully maintained work vehicle.
