Poachers Pantry is an established family-owned restaurant and weddings and events business situated on a rural property just 25 minutes from Canberra.Our focus is to provide exceptional country hospitality to our guests. Chef Adam Wilson creates contemporary seasonal menus using produce from our kitchen garden paired with Poachers Vineyard wines, grown on the property by Will Bruce.Position: Front of House Supervisor / Head WaiterHours: Casual (part time / full time hours available during wedding season and peak periods)Location: Poachers Pantry; Springrange - you will need a driver's license and your own car.Availability: Weekends (lunch) and dinner (primarily Saturday night wedding service)Responsibilities:As Front of House Supervisor / Senior Waiter you will be responsible for managing a section within our restaurant and wedding & event dinner service.Your duties will include:Greeting guests upon arrivalEscorting guests to their tables and bidding them farewell as they leave.Engaging in natural and friendly conversations with guests.Managing a section during service - or - supporting junior staff as they start to manage sections on their own.Refilling beverages and maintaining a clean and orderly environment.Assisting with light housekeeping duties such as cleaning menus and ensuring dining room and bathroom cleanliness.Answering phones and responding to bookings.On occasion, responsible for opening and/or closing the restaurant.WeddingsManaging service during a wedding - following established systems, processes and runsheets.Directing a team of waitstaff during wedding service to run food, clear and close the event.There is opportunity for career progression within a dynamic environment across restaurant and weddings front of house service.Applications:If you hold a minimum of 2 years of similar experience in an established Restaurant or Food and Beverage role, and are ready to join a passionate team dedicated to creating exceptional country hospitality, we'd love to review your application.
