Front End Cashier's Assistant - Part Time Costco RingwoodRotating roster which will include weekend work and starts from 7am and finishing as late as 10PM24hrs+ P/TDaily tasks and responsibilities: Greet members, help members load orders onto conveyor belt, determine member's packing preferences, answer questions, relate information on special promotions, thank members, and provide prompt and courteous member service.Pack member orders into boxes and load to a separate trolley or flatbed.
Check packaging for tampering.
Follow all safety and security procedures.
Assist members loading orders into cars when appropriate.Run for items such as merchandise, boxes, register supplies, and item numbers as requested by cashiers to keep lines moving smoothly.Transfer items not on the belt to a separate trolley or flatbed as cashiers scan them.
Follow proper departmental procedures for the performance of duties.Maintain cleanliness of register area and general front end area.
Clean spills and trip hazards immediately.Retrieve trolleys and flatbeds from the parking area using a rope with clasping hook, pushing no more than 10 trolleys together.
Keep the lot area free of debris and sweep in front of the building.Perform related tasks such as setup and closing duties for the department such as returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning the area.Non-Essential Functions and Tasks: Assist other areas in the department as necessary.Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.Operate mechanical trash compactor/cardboard baler.Job Ref: AU2705W.000427
