As a Fraud Officer at Swyftx, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our platform and protecting our users from fraud and scams. Partnering with our Financial Crime Team, you'll take proactive steps to prevent losses, identify risks, and continuously enhance our processes to stay one step ahead. What you'll be doing:Investigating and monitoring suspicious customer accounts and transactions to identify potential or actual fraud.Maintaining thorough documentation of fraud investigations, decisions, and actions taken to provide clear audit trails and support any legal or compliance requirements.Using risk assessment methodologies to identify opportunities for enhancing fraud controls and translating insights into actionable detection measures.Reviewing cryptocurrency risk exposure using advanced blockchain analysis tools like Chainalysis.Engaging directly with customers through outbound calls and live chat to address suspicious activity on their accounts.Collaborating closely with broader financial crime and cyber defence teams to analyse fraud and scams, effectively identifying and reporting risks.Staying informed about emerging trends, scams, and changes in the global fraud landscape.To ensure success in this role, you should possess:Experience in financial fraud or scam prevention and detection, with a solid understanding of fraud or scam motives, trends, and indicators.A knack for thinking creatively and spotting patterns others might miss.An agile mindset, ready to adapt and evolve processes in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with cryptocurrency and blockchain technology (a bonus, but not essential).Exceptional communication skills to liaise confidently with both customers and internal teams.Some of our perks and benefits include:Fully stocked kitchen, breakfast and lunch foods, unlimited fresh fruit and snacks.An inhouse barista and weekly catered lunches on a Wednesday.Unlimited fee-free trading.Career growth, training, mentorship, and development opportunities.Social activities, game breaks and end of month awards.
