Join Our Team as a Foundation to Future Training and Activity Manager at Saltbush! Saltbush is seeking a dedicated and culturally aware Training and Activity Manager to join our Foundation to Future team in Alice Springs.
In this role, you will lead a small team of professional Mentors, working together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing employment barriers.
Location: Alice SpringsEmployment Type: Permanent Full-timeExcellent Remuneration: $100k + 11.5% super + salary packaging + 5 weeks annual leaveReports To: Central Australian Operations ManagerHours: Normal business hours, with flexibility for additional hours as neededTravel: Occasional travel to other Saltbush service locationsThis position is identified for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and is intended to constitute a special measure under section 8 (1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), and section 57 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1996 (NT). Primary Purpose of the Role: This role will provide direct leadership and direction to a team of trainers focused on providing enduring support to local Aboriginal jobseekers who require specialist engagement, employment, and career development assistance.
As Activity and Training Manager, you will create, develop, and deliver inspiring training modules and activities that engage, promote self-esteem, develop employability skills, and provide a positive introduction to the world of work.
Skills development will be achieved through a mix of classroom and on-job learning opportunities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Work within the F2F Team to develop and deliver innovative workshops, activities, and training sessions that engage and inspire participants.Provide practical leadership and direction to training team members, helping them identify priorities and ensure shared accountability for program outcomes.Assist in developing best practice systems for data capture, monitoring, and evaluation.Facilitate practical learner support to those with learning needs.Manage records of attendance, participation, and achievements.Support mentors to build their capacity and confidence.Oversee logistics of workshops and activities.Engage with external stakeholders relevant to learning goals.Collaborate with the broader Saltbush team.Maintain open and transparent communications with the Saltbush leadership team.Oversee the continuous improvement of delivery.Experience in program design, development, and evaluation.Prior experience in the development and delivery of workshops focused on soft skills and employability skills.Understanding of Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) & Digital Literacy Skills Framework (DLSF).Leadership abilities that achieve positive team engagement.Confidence in verbal and written communication.Capacity to develop innovative learner materials and session plans.Advanced skills for Microsoft Office 365 software.Ability to prioritise and meet timelines.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Understanding of risk management practice for culturally appropriate delivery of services.Why You'll Love It Here: Community Impact: Be part of a team that makes real change.Growth and Support: Opportunities for professional development.Supportive Environment: A structured work environment that values your contribution.Employment is Subject to You Providing the Following: National Police Clearance (no more than three months old)NT Working with Children (OCHRE) CardCurrent Driver's LicenceCurrent First AidProof or evidence of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritageHow to Apply: Share your resume and answer all Employer Questions, and include a compelling one-page cover letter addressing your suitability for the role.
