Incorporated within the fully refurbished 5 star Peppers Waymouth Hotel, which features a heated indoor lap pool, spa, sauna and fitness centre. For meetings, events and private functions, the onsite conferencing facility caters for up to 150 guests cocktail style and can be divided up into two smaller rooms.
Purpose As the Food & Beverage Manager, you will take full ownership of overseeing the entire food and beverage department, including the restaurant, bar, banqueting, and events. This role provides a unique opportunity to showcase your leadership, culinary expertise, and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Primary Responsibilities Oversee all operational aspects of the Food & Beverage Department and develop innovative and insightful strategies for optimising guest experience and revenue growth opportunities Leverage your extensive expertise to guide and mentor your team, ensuring they consistently craft memorable moments Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef in creating menus, wine lists, and beverage offerings Manage all administrative and planning aspects of the department, including but not limited to scheduling, reporting, package and promotion development, recruitment, personnel management, inventory management, and ordering Skills and Experience Prior experience as a Food & Beverage Manager Robust leadership skills to engage, inspire, and cultivate your team, fostering a positive workplace atmosphere Proven track record in managing budgets, overseeing inventory, and creating staff schedules Effective communicator with adept skills in stakeholder management, both internally and externally Flexibility to accommodate a varied work schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays Exceptional organisational skills with a knack for prioritisation and a keen sense of urgency Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and effectiveness when faced with high-pressure situations Possession of a valid SA RSA ALL Heartist Membership -Take advantage of discounts on accommodation and food & beverage worldwide!
