In this role, you will be responsible for transporting heavy machinery to various civil construction sites throughout rural Queensland and New South Wales using road train trailers and quad floats. This is a great opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious individual with proven experience operating heavy vehicles and moving large machinery.Key Responsibilities:Safely operate and drive road train trailers and quad floats to transport heavy machinery across rural Queensland and New South Wales.Load, secure, and unload various types of civil construction machinery, such as excavators, graders, and dozers.Perform pre-start inspections and ensure all equipment is in proper working condition before each shift.Adhere to road transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.Communicate effectively with site teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient transport of machinery.Complete all required transport documentation, including logbooks, permits, and delivery notes.Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and maintenance for the truck and equipment.Report any mechanical issues, incidents, or safety concerns immediately.Requirements:Current MC (Multi-Combination) license with proven experience operating road trains and quad floats.Experience transporting heavy machinery within the civil construction industry.Knowledge of load restraint requirements and machinery tie-down procedures.Strong understanding of road transport laws and regulations.Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules and locations.Willingness to travel extensively throughout rural Queensland and New South Wales.A commitment to safety and following all company protocols.Relevant tickets for machinery operations (advantageous but not essential).What We Offer:Competitive salary package, including travel allowances.Opportunities to work on a variety of civil construction projects.Full-time, permanent position with consistent work across rural Queensland and NSW.Supportive team environment and a focus on safety and professionalism.Opportunities for ongoing training and career development.Durack Civil is an equal opportunity employer.
