Working closely together with National Aviation Academy and Townsville Helicopters , we specialise in adhoc and scheduled IFR charter services and aerial work solutions all over Australia.
About The Role ZephAir Australia is seeking an enthusiastic multi-skilled pilot to fulfill the type specialist role and to work closely with National Aviation Academy.
The Type Specialist Pilot reports directly to the Chief Pilot (Head of Operations), and shall: Perform tasks as directed by the Chief Pilot from time to time; Conduct proficiency tests in the execution of emergency procedures and issuing certificates of proficiency as required in respect of aircraft for which the Chief Pilot does not hold the applicable endorsement; Where the Chief Pilot does not hold a particular qualification be responsible for the following matters insofar as they relate to the operations and/or aircraft for which the Chief Pilot does not hold the qualification: Ensuring that air operations are conducted in compliance with current CASA Regulations; Ensuring compliance with loading procedures specified for each aircraft type and proper compilation of loading documents, including passenger and cargo manifests; Monitoring operational standards, maintaining training records and supervising the training and checking of flight crew; Allocating appropriate aircraft; Efficient operation of aircraft; Ensuring that operations are in compliance with the terms and conditions of the aviation insurance policies; Recommending any necessary disciplinary action in respect of flight crew.
Additionally, where required, ability to share your knowledge and skills in a flight instructing capacity for our multi-engine and advanced CPL students will be highly regarded.
This role is full time at our Townsville base .
Expect about 20% of your time to be desk work and 80% to be flying.
There will be occasional travel & weekend work required; however, the majority of your roster will see you working Mon - Fri, home at night!
This role is for someone who thrives on working a varied role where no two days are the same.
About you: CASA Part 61 Commercial Pilot Licence Aeroplane Class 1 medical Current Multi-engine instrument rating Sound knowledge of CASA regulatory publications and understanding of company operational procedures.
Ability to pass an interview and check flight with CASA in a PA31 chieftain for the type specialist role 15 hours night IFR in command or significant night experience MEA IR instructor rating or willing to obtain Previous instructing experience Time on PA31, BE58, PA34, C182, C172 500 hours Multi-engine under IFR #J-18808-Ljbffr
