Fixed Term (12 months) 1.0 FTE Postgraduate Fellow - Interventional Neuroradiology
Department of Neurosurgery
Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical practitioners for the above position in Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD).
This position will be primarily located at Westmead Hospital within the Department of Neurosurgery.
Successful applicants will have completed postgraduate training in a specialty relevant to Interventional Neuroradiology, such as Radiology, Neurology or Neurosurgery.
The Interventional Radiology Services within the Department of Neurosurgery provides the full spectrum of INR Procedures including clot retrieval and stroke management, aneurysm treatment by coil or stent or embolization.
Applicants expecting to be awarded fellowship within 6 months are eligible to apply.
The position will be for a period of 12 months commencing on 3 February 2025 to 1 February 2026.
Essential Requirements for Appointment

Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the RACR, RACS or RACP or equivalent as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency. Must hold a current NSW Environment Protection Authority license (if applicable).
Sound clinical knowledge in Interventional Neuroradiology demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
Expertise in relevant fields sufficient for appointment to the position.

Selection Criteria

A postgraduate qualification in Radiology, Neurosurgery or Neurology is essential.
Prior experience in Interventional Radiology is desired.
