Based at our Singleton branch, the Workshop Leading Hand is responsible for repairing Coates hire equipment and machinery on customer sites.
Your typical day will focus on: Diagnose & repair mechanical faults across various equipment workshop – work on large earthmoving generators, lighting plants, and boom lifts.Lead and supervise a team of Workshop Mechanics, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.Provide technical expertise and assistance to mechanics, particularly in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical faults in various on-site equipment.Coordinate the workshop's daily activities, including scheduling repairs, allocating resources, and maintaining stock levels of spare parts.Uphold and enforce safety protocols and regulations, ensuring that all repair and maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with site-specific protocols and safety regulations.About You Work hours from 7:00 AM till 3:06 PM, with a willingness to work overtime as required to meet customer demands.Relevant Trade qualifications.Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills.Effective time management and attention to detail.Supervisor experience in a busy workshop environment.Troubleshooting, diagnostic, and preventative maintenance skills.Your commitment to safety.What You'll Get In Return As a member of the Coates team, you'll enjoy a range of perks and benefits, including:
