About the Role: MPK is seeking an experienced Fitter to join our local Maintenance Team located at Wellcamp, QLD.
Reporting to Maintenance Leads, the ideal candidate for this position will be highly motivated with relevant trade qualification.
The successful candidate will be expected to carry out a number tasks on our fleet of equipment which consists of earthmoving equipment, trucks, trailers, specialty equipment as well as light vehicles and smaller random odd ball jobs.
Able to assist with loading and unloading of Plant and freight.
Day to day tasks will involve:
Service and repairs of all equipmentRebuilds and overhaulsCreation of new equipment, building and assemblyConducting daily prestart meetings & filling out of JHAs as requiredGuiding and sharing information with the team of fitters as requiredTravel to worksites if neededAbout you: Heavy vehicle and earthmoving experience (preferred)Good understanding of scan & diagnostic tools for both aftermarket suppliers and OEMsUnderstanding of hydraulic & electrical systems and repairsWelding and fabrication skills (advantageous)Ability to manage, locate and order stock/spare partsAbility to work unsupervised on the taskAbility to be creative and work outside normal tasks with repairs on specialised equipmentMPC Kinetic provides essential upstream services to the energy and resource industries.
