A vacancy for a First Aid Trainer/Assessor has arisen within the Volunteer Development Team. A highly motivated individual with strong communication skills and first aid training experience. The job holder will predominantly work from our Glasgow Training Centre will be required to travel to other parts of Scotland. The Trainer/Assessor, reporting directly to the Head of Volunteer Development, will be responsible for the planning, co-ordination, delivery and assessment of St Andrew’s First Aid’s various first aid and related courses to volunteers. The successful applicant will also work as part of a team to review learning materials and develop new First Aid Trainer/Assessors as well as other aspects of business development. The individual will have experience in the planning, co-ordination, delivery and assessment of large volumes of first aid courses and also hold a recognised First Aid Trainer/Assessor qualification. A recognised assessor award would also be a distinct advantage. As this role deals solely with volunteers it will initially involve a lot of work over evenings and weekends. Interviews will be held in our National Headquarters in Glasgow week commencing 24 May 2021. A PVG will be required for this post.
