Financial Reporting and Compliance Lead - 6 month contract Contract/Temp

Your new company This global business with HQ overseas has recently established themselves in Australia and focuses on the production and distribution of a specialised FMCG product. With exciting growth plans at their new office in Brisbane, they are now looking for a new Financial Lead on Reporting and Compliance on a full-time basis for approximately 6 months, with a strong possibility of moving into a permanent role thereafter.
Your new role Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and other month-end tasks Submission of local accounts on time for group consolidation SOX compliance - supporting the implementation of the SOX framework Maintain compliance with financial reporting, as required by SOX Accountable for supporting internal and external audits Timely closure of technical accounting with external auditors Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards Oversee treasury operations, including cash management systems What you'll need to succeed Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Professional accounting membership - CIMA/CPA/CA or equivalent Minimum of 3+ years in financial reporting, preferably at a publicly traded company Experience working in a SOX environment What you'll get in return Taking on this fixed-term assignment within a busy FMCG environment will be exciting as you get the chance to business partner with all key internal and external stakeholders.
