Job Title: Financial Controller Location: Calvary Mater Newcastle Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time Salary Classification: Health Manager Level 4 Remuneration: $137,173 - $163,431 per annum + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options + RDO's THE ROLE: As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the finance team and supporting the provision of quality health care services in accordance with the hospital's overall operational plan. In this senior leadership role, you will manage the finance, accounting, and audit function and provide support to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services. DUTIES: Ensure financial reports present accurately, in all material respects, the financial condition and results of Calvary Mater Newcastle.Ensure financial reports are based on a sound system of risk management and internal control; and that the risk management and internal control system is operating efficiently and effectively in all material respects.Prepare and manage all aspects of the accounting and audit function and meet key internal and external reporting KPIs.Ensure compliance and submission of all taxation requirements for the company.Analyze internal financial information and budgets to provide advice and assistance on new policy proposals and benchmark organizational program performance against best practices.Responsible for the annual budget in collaboration with the Management Accountant and preparation of monthly forecasts for review by the Director of Finance and Corporate Services.ABOUT YOU: Demonstrated leadership skills to manage a high performing team.Demonstrated experience influencing and mobilizing others to implement financial governance and operating frameworks to continually improve the quality of financial advice.Demonstrated strong experience in financial and budget management and accounting principles and practices.Highly developed organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex financial issues.
