We operate retail stores, eCommerce sites and service 100's of specialty retailers (ski, marine, department and outdoor) as well as supply corporate gear to leading businesses across a wide variety of industries.The OpportunityWe're seeking a motivated, experienced Financial Controller to join our growing business at our Brookvale NSW head office. Managing a team of 3, you will lead all aspects of transactional and technical accounting for Australia and New Zealand as well as partnering with the Executive Team on ways to scale for strategic growth. You will work diligently to ensure accounts are up to date, tax obligations are met, and reporting is both timely and accurate to assist in commercial decision making.Key Responsibilities:Own the forecasting, budgeting, CAPEX, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting processOwn month end and year end close process with associated commentary to support financial outcomesWork closely with the external tax accountancy firm to ensure tax compliance for Australia and New ZealandPrepare and submit BAS and ensure adherence to taxation requirementsManage payroll operations for all channels including preparation, processing and compliance with relevant regulationsImprove Financial processes and identify key drivers of revenue to enable improvements in financial performanceProvide support and guidance to direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environmentAbout YouFirst and foremost, you'll have a great attitude and willingness to partner with key stakeholders in the businessExcellent written and verbal communication skills. An ability to communicate financials to non-finance staffExceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work under tight deadlinesDemonstrated ability to manage a teamWe love what we do!
