Financial Accounting - Team Leader (Leisure) - South Bank, Qld

Job Title: Financial Accounting Team Leader The role of the Financial Accounting Team Leader is to handle end-to-end financial accounting for Flight Centre Travel Group's Australian Leisure Brand, including General Ledger Close Process management, monthly reporting, and supporting EOFY and Half-Year audits.
Responsibilities:
Manage the month-end GL close processes for the Leisure business.
Review Balance Sheet Reconciliations and report across the Leisure business.
Prepare monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reviews, including commentary and analysis.
Support the Group Financial Reporting team with EOFY and Half-Year external audits.
Monitor and review at-risk items to protect our business.
Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards, and FCL minimum standards.
Improve efficiencies within finance workflow processes.
Assist with special projects and systems/process improvement initiatives.
People Management:
Lead the team with a clear vision and strategic direction.
Inspire and motivate team members to cultivate a positive work culture.
Provide constructive feedback and manage performance.
Align and energise the team to achieve business objectives.
Develop talent and promote continuous learning.
Manage succession planning for future leadership needs.
Qualifications:
5+ years' experience in ASX listed financial reporting teams.
Meticulous eye for detail and curiosity to explore.
Strong managerial, coaching, and leadership skills.
Ability to deal with change, growth, and pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Team player who can motivate teams to excel.
External Audit experience.
Advanced Excel skills, including modeling, use of Power Automate and/or Power BI.
