BINGO is looking for a fixed term full-time Financial Accountant working in our Financial Reporting Team based in our Head Office in Auburn for 2 months.
In this role you would be responsible for analysing financial information, preparing financial reports and preparing journal entries.
In this role, you will enjoy the flexibility of working in the office and from home, and working with a high performing team.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts together with financial analysis in conjunction with the Financial Planning and Analytics team Analyse monthly P&L variances and provide detailed commentary to senior finance leadership, enabling informed decision making and strategic planning.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support forecasting activities and provide analytical support to business partners.
Preparation of payroll accounting entries and reconciliations Preparation of monthly Business Activity Statement (BAS) and GST reconciliations Assist with preparation of annual Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
Prepare accurate and timely response to audit queries or data requests Contribute to the continuous development and management of finance procedures, processes, and controls.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance and maintenance of data integrity and quality of accounting records Undertaking of any ad-hoc reports when required Any other duty as reasonably directed Carry out all duties in line with Bingo's policies, procedures and processes as amended Minimum Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting CPA or CA Solid knowledge of accounting and financial concepts Ability to effectively apply knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices Proven experience in an environment where multitasking, prioritising and working to deadlines was required.
Extensive experience in Microsoft products with advance level experience in the use of Excel.
Experience in accounting and related software systems.
