Position Overview:Boral's Group Finance division is seeking a Financial Accountant for a parental leave contract to be based in the North Ryde head office. Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, you will contribute to the delivery of Month end and BAU accounting activities in line with business service level agreements.
Your day will involve:Building and maintaining effective relationships with Finance and Business Unit Stakeholders.Identifying and facilitating the effective resolution of Financial Accounting issues with Finance and Business Unit Stakeholders.Performing financial accounting processes and activities effectively and efficiently.Ownership of the accounting for certain centralised processes, including processing of month end journals & account reconciliations.Working with the business to estimate and measure certain centrally held provisions.Assist with the management of the fixed asset register ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures including but not limited to, acquisitions, disposals, revaluations and depreciation.What we are looking for:CA or CPA qualified or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years accounting experience.In-depth experience in Oracle Financial Modules and/or equivalent systems.Experience in applying accounting principles and Australian Accounting Standards.Commercial exposure and ability to work in a centralised accounting environment.Proven ability to manage own performance including skills in time management and managing workload priorities.Proven analytical, problem solving and process management skills.Why join the Boral team?Competitive Salary Package.Be mentored by highly skilled industry experts.Opportunity to work for an organisation dedicated to health, safety and the environment.Free Onsite Parking.About Boral:We are Australia's leading vertically-integrated construction materials solution provider and have been helping to build and enable a strong, modern Australia for more than 75 years.
